WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY CRICKETERS NOW HAVE THEIR OWN ANGEL

Cricketing players worldwide will soon rush to get their own RehabAngel^® when they get news of how Worcester County Cricket Club has taken the early advantage of employing their own NHS angel within its camp. WCCC became the first cricket club in the UK following on from premier league football clubs to invest into it own piece of NHS Innovation.

UK athletes and patients can now benefit from the RehabAngel, a device that can be used to exercise the ankle, foot and lower limbs as part of a rehabilitation programme for patients experiencing problems in their knee, ankle or foot following surgery, and as part of a rehabilitation programme for athletes recovering from injury.

RehabAngel consists of a platform on which the patient stands, can be set to different angles and altered for different foot types. Depending on the incline or decline angle used, different muscle groups are exercised. The device provides for greater ankle and foot stability while strengthening lower limb muscles. The device also allows for more-controlled rehabilitation of the lower limb.
