Black Country Reinvestment Society Hosts international visit PDF Print E-mail

bcrs_1Black Country Reinvestment Society (BCRS) played host to an international visitor recently. Senor Adauto Ferreira Lemos, of Espirito Santo, Brazil, visited the UK on a group study exchange with the Rotary Club of Great Britain.

Paul Kalinauckas, chief executive of BCRS, escorted Senor Lemos on a full day’s tour of Wolverhampton businesses including Wolverhampton Manufacturing Advisory Service West Midlands (MASWM) and medical products innovators Medical Devices Technology International (MTDi).

Through collaboration between the NHS, Academia and UK Industry, spearheaded by Cheshire East Community Health, the unique device, aptly termed RehabAngel®, provides for greater ankle and foot stability whilst strengthening lower leg muscles.  As a consequence the number of injuries experienced by athletes when undertaking normal exercises could be reduced. Importantly, the device allows rehabilitation of the lower limb in a more controlled manner more so than any other type of device currently on the market.
