Premier Side Knows Exactly What They Want When It Comes to Getting the Best Out of the NHS
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC leads the premiership league in knowing exactly how to get the best out of the NHS. Being one of the country’s leaders in Sport Physiotherapy and the management of physical health the Club immediately took the early advantage by investing at its State of Art Jack Hayward Training Centre the country’s first fully researched multi-functional exercise platform that was invented by the NHS.
The RehabAngel® is a multi-functional knee and calf rehabilitation platform for use within physiotherapy, podiatry and sports rehabilitation that provides variable angular rehabilitation. The device ensures a variable and measured range of graduated non-weight bearing, partial weight bearing and full weight bearing exercises to be undertaken targeting specific muscle groups in the lower limbs.
NHS World Class Innovation Will Get Atheletes Fit For Gold in 2012
To beat off stiff competition UK Athletes will be able to benefit from a new NHS device that is set to revolutionise sports rehabilitation in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.
Through collaboration between the NHS, Academia and UK Industry, spearheaded by Cheshire East Community Health, the unique device, aptly termed RehabAngel®, provides for greater ankle and foot stability whilst strengthening lower leg muscles. As a consequence the number of injuries experienced by athletes when undertaking normal exercises could be reduced. Importantly, the device allows rehabilitation of the lower limb in a more controlled manner more so than any other type of device currently on the market.
